Adult Street & International Latin Classes

Adult Street & International Latin Classes are held on Wednesdays from 7pm to 10pm, upstairs in the main ballroom at the Italo-Australian Club, 78 Franklin Street, Forrest.

Dances covered in these classes are selected from: Mambo, Salsa, Merengue, West Coast Swing, Jive, Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Argentine Tango.

Beginners: 7pm to 8pm (catering for the absolute beginner)

Intermediate: 8pm to 9pm

Advanced: 9pm to 10pm (advance students only)

Beginners may attend the Intermediate Class for no additional cost if they can cope.

On certain Wednesdays we hold Special Group Classes devoted to a single Latin American dance.  Refer to the "Special Classes" page on this website for full details. 

Cost (2010): $17 per person per evening or you may purchase a "Card" valid for 12 months for any 8 Adult Group Classes (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday) for $120 ($15 per evening).  The "Card" must be produced every time you attend a class.  A refund is not given for unused lessons or lost cards.

You may join a class at any time during the year.  However, if you join a class that you cannot cope with, we will refund your money if you let us know within the first 15 minutes of the lesson.

Bookings are not required.  Simply turn up at the venue 10 minutes before the class commences for enrolment.  You need not have a partner to attend group classes.

The partner you dance with in a Group Class is entirely up to you. We do not rotate partners.

Beginners may stay for the Intermediate Class, if they can cope.  The Advanced Class is restricted to advance students and is held only if advanced students are in attendance.  The fee per night covers all three classes (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced).
